drivingDirection Lake Wissota State Park is located approximately 7 miles northeast Chippewa Falls. From Hwy 53 North, take exit 99 (Hwy S). Travel east on county Hwy S for about 5.5 miles. Cross the bridge over Lake Wissota and turn right on county Hwy O. Drive east 2 miles on Hwy O; the park entrance is on the right. From Hwy 29 West, exit on Hwy 178. Travel north for about 2.5 miles to County Hwy S. Travel east on County Hwy S for about 2 miles. Cross the bridge over Lake Wissota and turn right on county Hwy O. Drive east 2 miles on Hwy O; the park entrance is on the right. From Hwy 29 East, exit on county Hwy X. Follow X west until Hwy K. Drive north (right) on county Hwy K, then west (left) on county Hwy O to park entrance on the left.

importantInformation All campsites are available 1st come / 1st served at the park if not reserved. These sites can not be held by calling the park. The camper can call the Park to see what sites are open only for the day you call. Pack-in style winter camping is allowed, though campground roads are not plowed and campsites are not maintained. Usually the snow becomes too deep to drive to sites around mid-November and stays that way until mid-March. The shower buildings, water fountains, and dumping stations are closed during the winter months due to freezing temperatures. Pit toilets are open year round. No campsites are situated on the lake. A 30 foot wooded bluff lies between the campsites and the lake. There are no overnight camping facilities for campers with horses. There are no water hook-up sites in the park. A trailer dumping station is available. Site 27: Hiking trail runs directly behind this campsite. Vehicle admission stickers are required. Click here for cost of the sticker. Setting up your campsite is not allowed between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Vehicle admission stickers are required. Only 2 vehicles per campsite are allowed. Additional vehicles will need to use the overflow parking. Each site reserved is allowed a maximum of 6 unrelated people. During walk-in season (beginning the Tuesday after Labor Day weekend through May 14th) call the park office (715-382-4574) for availability of showers and water in the campground. Pit toilets are open year around. The dump station normally closes about October 1st. No overnight camping facilities for horses. There are no water hook-up sites in the park. Pack-In winter camping is allowed, however, campground is not plowed. These facilities are weather dependent and dates can change. Check with the property if you have questions.
